Too bad, they have good product!
I will definitely keep you in mind in the States, I'll message you if I find a good deal!
As far as bags go - are you thinking a specific style or color? I know I don't want mine to look like a shopping tote...but when it comes down to $$ my mind can usually change!! lol
Paper lanterns?? Hmmmmm, If you want them off your hands I may know someone willing to buy them ;o)
hehehehe, you and I are trouble today!! I'll send you pics of the lanterns... although I still haven't quite decided what I'm going to do with them :)

On one hand I really liked the light ones because more often they had a dropped back as well which was really flattering BUT since I'm a little bit small chested, the more formal ones allowed for some 'improvement' in that area which has its obvious advantages :)

I say just keep getting out to dry dresses on. I think the more you get on, the more quickly you can narrow down what you like or not. Honestly it took me at least seven trips before I found mine! And when I did, I was out with a girlfriend who was amazed that I could practically whip the dresses on and off again, knowing they weren't right. But when I tried it on, we both knew that was it!

The best part, I got my more formal looking dress, but it also had a more dropped back like I wanted but is still fitted enough up front to help me out a little!! And as a bonus, its very lightweight because it is taffeta (which I never, ever thought I would get because it reminds me of high school grad dresses!! LOL!) so I'm not even worried at all.

Keep at it, even just a little at a time. You'll find your dress :)
Haha..I know exactly what you mean about the "improvement" that the formal dress gives!

That's so great that you found your dress! I like the idea of a more formal yet lightweight one - the best of both worlds! Perhaps that is something I need to be considering but like you taffeta does make me think of high school!

I hear so many stories of people who tried on only a few and found the "one" and I think it's got me all worked up that I've tried on a lot so far and haven't found THE dress. I'm trying be relaxed about it and be positive, the dress is out there and when the time is right, I'll find it. I just hope it's sooner rather than later though so I can keep my sanity! LOL

Haha we are big trouble today!!! I'm still reeling with the Forever 21 realization! Can you believe that me and a friend were actually going to place an order and have it delivered to my Brother's place in the US, for me to pick up when I'm there!! Glad we didn't put in that order yet!! lol
Do you have my email? I've been throwing it around to so many people I can't even keep track!! If you end up keeping them no prob - just now you have a backup!!
Do you think we should tell our FI's about us, lol - I think if they figure out everything we've been planning we may not be able to cyberchat anymore! lol

"Everything was on sale Honey, I swear!...oh I but I lost that receipt!!" jk, ;o)

Or even better:

"didn't you know that retail stores don't issue receipts anymore - it's bad for the environment"

I also plan to send my formal invites out in January (after the holidays). Iâ€ve already sent out the STDâ€s with all of the cruise booking information, etc. This way, people have sufficient time to budget and plan for the wedding. I donâ€t think January is too late if youâ€ve already given your potential guests a heads up on your wedding plans.

By the way, no matter when you send out your invites, there will always be people that do not respect your RSVP date.

I still think they look great… you had to put some effort into finding the design and ordering them right? Gotta give yourself the credit you deserve (lol).

I totally agree! The “destination†type wedding dresses I tried on did not hold me in enough. They hugged all of my lumps and bumps (in all the wrong places). So, I went with a more formal design.

Another thing… I always heard that when you find “the dressâ€, you will KNOW it. Well, I didnâ€t get that feeling. It was more of a process of elimination for me. When I thought I had it narrowed down to “the dressâ€, I went to the bridal shop to try on a few other dresses to make sure. I tried on the other dresses first, then “the dress†last. The dress I chose was the one that I thought would look best on me and best in pictures, but I did not have that overwhelming feeling like it was the dress I had to have. Iâ€ve talked to a few other brides who felt the same way. Has anyone else on this thread felt that way?

I LOVE my dress, but I am another who didn't get that "the one" feeling - but I also didn't let myself get caught up in it either! I had a budget and a vision: my budget was CHEAP and my vision was SKINNY, I achieved the cheap, lol. It's a decision, I could try on hundreds but there are still thousands more that I haven't tried on - when do you stop?
My dress is flattering for my body style, so I guess I achieved the best one for me too!!
Here's my philosophy which I've posted before:

"Dresses are like men: there are many styles, shapes and colors but you just have to believe in your choice and stick with it..." ;o)

There are tons of fancy beautiful gowns that I know if I would have tried them on I would have LOVED them, but I wanted simple and affordable and I just have to stick to the plan! And, I think I'll go and try mine on just to reconfirm that thought!

That's so funny... I heard this on the show "Say Yes to the Dress" the other day. I think that philosophy is so true. My single friend (my MOH) could not believe I didn't have that "this is the one" feeling with my dress. Again, that's why I'm so glad to have this forum to turn to.

haha you two have me giggling away here with all your banter!! As for my dress the knowing it was the one, I have to agree that it was also part of the elimination process for sure!!! I think though the reason I had a better feeling about it was because at one store, we did the whole narrowing down to the favourite dress at the time (which I still wanted to alter a bit) and then when I tried on MY dress it was like finding the dress I mostly liked with the alterations already done! Does that make any sense?!?! So without having gone through the process already, I might not even have known it was the one I'd get to be honest!

you guys are too funny!! I don't really have to reply or say anything, just read! lol very entertaining, thank you girls! :)

For me and my dress, which will make me want to hit my FI. He proposed, I said let's do DW, he said no sad.gif I said ok, then we are doing church, limo reception. It's what he wanted. So I went and bought my church wedding dress, a year later of planning AHR he turned around and said 'lets do a dw'

Now I have the church dress for a dw!! I did feel like 'whoa this is my dress' tho, but I am sure I could have found that in a DW dress.

So this is the reason I got a second dress, but feel like it was a rush purchased because the price was right ,for dancing and feeling like I wont destroy my 'church' dress.

*sigh*
