Totally agree with that second photo......haha......WTF is happening there?? haha!

I received this email yesterday from Paloma ,I asked her about this photography issue .I read this over few times ,still I have no idea if I can have Cecilia Dumas or Not ? I’m totally confused?!! if some one get this let me know pls.

I am forwarding your mail to our photographers - the only with exclusivity to shoot inside our property, I am sorry about this, as I am sure if you would have informed your wedding coordinator or if you would have asked her for any restriction to bring an outside vendor as photographer - they would have informed you about this.., nevertheless they will contact you and will consider the deposit you have already paid to another supplier...

 

Let me know what comes up with this please,

It sounds like they don't allow outside photography but since you already paid a deposit, they will consider it as an exception...? It also sounds like they think this issue is YOUR fault for not asking which is rediculous. From all the posts here, I had assumed that this would be a NEW policy for NEW wedding bookings at the resort. Seeing as how your wedding is only two months away, I don't see how it's fair that they are telling you this now!

I agree. It sounds like she is saying its your fault their policy has changed and they no longer allow outside photographers.

 

I'm wondering if you should respond to find out when their new policy went into affect. If you paid your photography deposit (and have proof) before the date it went into affect then there shouldn't be an issue.

 

I'm getting married just before you and I had no issues with dealing with Karla. She didn't seem to have an issue letting me use my photographer. though she did say that it would be different for brides going forward. Forward from when, I don't know.

Oh I want to make a quick shout out to Emme!! It's her wedding day today and I hope she is having a fabulous time!!

 

I wonder if her and Nicole have met yet? hmmm.

I can't WAIT until they get back to hear all about it! Mine is still WAY too far away!

AHHHHH!!! So I am joining the freak out party for this darn photographer issue!!

 

When the first round of e-mails went out I immediatly got in contact with Karla ensuring that there would be no problem having my already booked (paid deposited) photographer come onto the resort. She responded that it would not be an issue since I had paid a deposit and that I was getting married so close.

 

Since then I have paid my photographer in FULL and I'm all set and ready to go when I receive this aggrivating e-mail...

We have some changes during this days about this service in the hotel, so she will let you know about the access of the photographer you already contacted.

What the heck batman!! I better not lose any money here of this girly is going to flip her lid!!

 

I've replied back outline my concern for losing the some $1500 USD that I've shelled out for my photographer. I hope they respond with the answer that I'm looking for. That my photographer will have no issues getting on the resort.

Oh sweet Mary! I am super annoyed I may not get to use Citlalli and Claudia, but after you have paid in full when you have been told no issues! It totally sounds like they are not grandfathering in the people who had photographers booked before the change!

Klee, are you using a TA? Maybe have your TA call or you should call the resort. Maybe even try talking to Paloma and explaining what is happening. I don't know what to say. I am worried for you! This is not something you need to deal with now!

AS for the other girls on here....has anyone heard back from this Ariffce or however you spell them? I still have not heard back or gotten a website to look at additional photos! This is so frustrating. I have sent another email to Claudia asking what the outcome of her meeting was on Friday. FRom what you guys are being told I am worried it was not good for us. As soon as I hear something I will post it.

I'm getting married at the Tulum on November 4, and Jazmin has yet to email me about this issue. I am assuming there shouldn't be a problem with me bringing in a photographer because my wedding is so close. I'm going to email Jazmin to confirm.

I was married on Thursday (15th) and Nicole was married on Friday (16th)...and we got to meet on the day of her wedding as she was walking through the lobby in her wedding dress. I went up and introduced myself and congratulated her and her new husband. Nicole looked absolutely beautiful...

I plan to post a review but am waiting on my pictures before I do...but in the meantime...everything was absolutely AMAZING!!!

Karla and Christian (Coba WC's) are FANTASTIC!!! They went above and beyond for our whole group. I am a very "particular" person and they took care of every single detail that I requested. It was wonderful.

Sorry I can't be more help with the photography issue because we brought a friend with us (as a guest) who is a photographer here at home. We didn't run into any trouble whatsoever...and I really believe that since she was a guest it was a totally different situation.

Please feel free to ask me any questions about anything and I will try to help out as best as I can. I will keep you all posted on the review as soon as it's done...hopefully sometime this week...
