Thanks ladies!!! It is a relief since I had myself a deadline of 7 months before the wedding to have it ordered.

I went in on Saturday, but could not decide between the two. The other had crinoline and a fairly large beaded train I was not crazy about.

It had the V in front and in the back, but not as deep. Same designer.

Ann, mlb36 & Court, thanks for your honesty... I knew I could count on you ladies. I think it is that it is hanging there, not poofed out, but without my hair being 'bigger' that is probably what it will do. Nothing.

I am going to try and cancel it. I am looking at the site where Ann had hers made.

I know it may be windy at the Dreams gazebo, but I do feel like I need a veil, it made me feel like a bride.

Do I need a shorter one? I think we established it definitely should be lighter in colour.

honestly, if YOU love it though, that's what matters! you sounded like you didn't though ...

i got mine longer (to about my knees, maybe) and 1 later, not very much fabric because i didn't want it to block the back of my dress - but i still wanted the veil for the "bride feel" i wanted! the way i looked at it, if it were shorter, and ended around the top of your dress in the back, then it would distract from the dress. but a longer, simple veil would allow you to see through it, see the back of the dress - but still make you look like a bride! does that make ANY sense?

Yes, that does make sense... I just wondered since I have that loooooooong chiffon on the back. I want simple with no edging, yes one layer.
Looks like they have everything on Occansey!

since i don't have my pics yet - i had to go through my slideshow to find some examples. i didn't want a big, heavy veil, but i actually thought it would bother me if it were too short - like i thought it would be too bulky or something. my veil was pretty sheer - which is what i wanted.

if you look through my slideshow you can see that the veil was pretty see through, and didn't block the dress - look at slides 37, 45, 47, and 50

they really do! and i had seen a veil that i liked, but didn't want to pay $600 for! so i just described it to them, they gave me a custom quote, and they made it. so if you have something specific in mind - just let them know, or send them pictures!
