"New Resort Opening May 1 2011" NOW LARIMAR ~ PUNTA CANA

Recommended Posts

Ok Ladies, Im about to sent a deposit to confirm our date for Oct 2012, BUT i was on tripadvisor again, reading all this negative review about the food. I usually dont trust a one timer review, especially if they havent wrote any before. Sonce they can be fake. So i looked through the ones that ppl wrote more then 2 reviews. A lot of people seem to be complaing abt food. I know i think Moni wrote a complain letter and recieved something back, stating that they are improving. Im just so nervous, what if its really that bad...But also on the other hand i think, since they got bought out by Dreams it will take them some time to tune in with the team workers and do a good job...Please HELP!So nervous...

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of checking out resorts and I want to know pricing for the additional services that Now has but no one is getting back to me when I email the address on the site (weddings.nolpc@nowresorts.com). Grr. Does anyone have a direct email address to a WC or can you send me whatever package information you have? We are not planning on gettiing married till 2013 and i know they probably dont have those rates out yet but i just wanted to get an idea. My email is nortiz065@aol.com. Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks!!!!

Hi girls,

I'm new here and just booked my Apr 2012 wedding at NOW.  I have NO idea where to have the ceremony or what to bring or or or...

It's alot since I only have 160 days and the holidays in between!!

Any advice would be GREAT!

I've read all the same tripadvisor things about the food.  My take is that this is rated as 5 star so most people are expecting alot and easily being disappointed.  It's an all-inclusive.  Most all-ins don't have the best food IMHOp.

I would love to hear some recent comments on the rooms and the food etc.  I think I'm more nervous about the open bathrooms :)

I am also very nervous about the open bathrooms, not all of my guests are couples. But I heard that you can ask the front desk and they can put some sort of curtains !?! I also saw on trip advisor that some bathrooms have this glass wall with flowers painted on it so you can't see through.

hey ladies, I booked for December 1st, 2011!

My date is coming up and I was wondering if anyone is bringing their own music for the reception (instead of hiring a dj). I was just wondering if their would be an issue with that.

Also, does anyone have any feedback on the spa in terms of getting their hair done there? or photos of the rooms (not preferred club) I'm getting nervous about those aspects.

Splenda! Congrats on booking and your upcoming wedding! Mine is in 2 weeks :) We're hiring DJ, but FI is pretty much going to tell him what to play LOL, for the rest of our activities we have our Ipods loaded with fun music, They do provide the equipment for $$$ if you decide on no DJ.

I'm getting my hair&make-up done with owner of the spa (forgot her name), I'll give you the feedback once we come back to the States. Don't worry about the rooms, I hear that they can provide you with privacy screen of some sort.

Good luck and happy planning!

Katusha! Your wedding is right around the corner! How is your planning going? Have you been in contact with Innovart for your decor? Hope all goes well!! Can't wait to hear all about it and see all your pics!!

Is anyone staying at another resort in Punta Cana for their honeymoon? Or is everyone staying at the Now? We were booked to stay at Secrets Cap Cana but it is being taken over by another management company and will no longer be adults only or all inclusive so now I have to pick a new resort for our honeymoon!! Ah! Any suggestions???

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
