Help- Shipment held in Cancun customs

Notwithstanding any other provision of the FedEx Service Guide, we are not liable for delay of, loss of or damage to a shipment of any prohibited item. The shipper agrees to indemnify FedEx for any and all costs, fees and expenses FedEx incurs as a result of the shipper's violation of any local, state or federal laws or regulations or from tendering any prohibited item for shipment. The alcohol comes under the point relating to 'products that are wet, leaking, or omit an odor of any kind' Hope this helps someone!!

wow how unfortunate! I think I will take a carry on...I'd rather them take stuff out while I am standing there and can see what they remove than have them burn all of my stuff!

WOW! I never even considered shipping anything for this very reason. I hope that everything turned out ok in the end.

Custom brokers are a reliable source...but SO expensive that event for corporate events it is sometime not accesible in price.

 

My suggestion: pay for the extra luggage and bring it from the US...or even easier have it done on site. You cna find almost everyhting now in Mexico.
