Did anyone use La Europea for their alcohol? If so, how did you contact them? I can't find any real info on their website.

How early did you have to place your order? I'm planning on using them, but I'm getting a little nervous about getting in touch with them! Do they have an actual store where you can walk in and choose the wine selection?

Thanks in advance!!

Opice,

I asked Fernanda about La Europea, and she gave me a contact e-mail that didn't work. It sounds like you place your order, and they drop everything off. They will also pick up unopened bottles and give you a refund. We decided to just use the Hilton since we only have about 20 guests. Fernanda is allowing us to pay by drink consumption, rather than having to pay for the open bar.

I used La Europea but I don't have the contact details with me right now. If you go to their website LA EUROPEA they have a phone number and the address of a store that you can go to. We went and it is located downtown. One word of caution is that we were married on May 10 and we are still waiting for the refund from the liquor that we did not consume.

Thanks guys! I'm going to try to stop in there this weekend and see what I can figure out. I'll try to get a good email address from them too, so that other people can contact them. I'll post info when I get back.

Mel - keep us posted on whether or not you get your refund!! That is pretty critical to this process! Hopefully they will get it to you soon!

Thanks! cheesy.gif

Hmmm...hopefully something will come through soon. Someone else told me that they only take cash? Is that true?

Also - what formula did you use to figure out how much alcohol you'd need? If there a rule of thumb regarding how many bottles per person per hour or something? Oy! So much to figure out!

TIA!

We paid them in travelers checks but I am not sure about the payment policy. It may be different in the stores but we had it delivered to the hotel.

We didn't really have a formula. We bought 30 bottles of liquor and had a total of 70 guests. We ended up with I think 8 or 9 bottles leftover. When we went down for a site visit, the WC at The Omni Puerto Aventuras had a formula but I can't remember what it was. We just wanted to make sure we wouldn't run out! wink.gif

  • 1 month later...

So glad to find this post! We are using them to have the bottles delivered to our hotel (Fiesta Americana Condesa) and I am so glad to have the contact info. I can't seem to find prices for anything...do you mind if I ask what type of 30 bottles you got and about how much was it for hard alchohol (like vodka, tequila) and wine? Thanks and good luck with your refund... you are right though you would hate to run out!

We bought 6 Finlandia Cranberry, 6 Absolute, 12 Old Parr, and 6 Jose Cuervo. The total with delivery and taxes was under $500 I think. We didn't buy any wine. At the Fiesta Americana Condesa we had to bring in our own mixers (juices, etc) so we bought all that at Costco.

And we finally received our refund but it really was a pain in the rear!

Thanks for posting that you finally got your money back. this actually makes me think twice about maybe hiring La Europea. Although it's really nice that they drop it off at the resort for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
