Cabo Cost

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My fiance, Abel, and I have recently been considering Cabo as our wedding location. Over the weekend, we talked to several friends who said Cabo was very expensive. We anticipate having around 100 people at our wedding with a buffet (maybe just heavy appetizers) and an open bar. From some of the information packets I've received, however, many of the drinks are around $10 - $12 each. If anyone could provide their approximate amounts for open bar and maybe even their buffet (or just appetizers), I would be appreciative!

We have 9 months until are approximate wedding date and I'm STILL having problems making a decision on where!

Thanks!

Magen

Congratulations!

Cabo does not have to be expensive. A fantastic location is the new Cabo Azul. The chapel there is unlike anything in all of Mexico. The hotel is brand new so deals can be made....

Contact Sergio Morales. He is the exclusive WC at Cabo Azul. You'll love him!

I agree anywhere you go there will be food/drink costs. Have you thought of dropping your number of people (to maybe your 50 closest) this would cut your food budget by thousands if not tens of thousands. Also, this is just my opinion but since the cost of flying to cabo is a little pricey (from Houston its around $450 with all the new taxes and fees) - you may want to serve them more than heavy appetizers since they will spend atleast $1000 on flight and hotel alone.

I agree Cancun is a little more of a money saver (especially on flights from Texas).

Addisonreed1113, you are right. You have to give your guest more then heavy appetizers coming to a dw. I would cut down on the guest list if that is a big factor.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
