karma: 3 | Cabo Restaurant / Club suggestions?
So, I'm starting to plan my trip to Cabo, not just my wedding. Of course, there's tons of research to be done online. I wondered if any of you have good restaurants (all price ranges) and clubs to recommend in Cabo, SJD, etc. I'd be grateful for suggestions since I've never actually been to Cabo.

I only ate at 3 restaurants during my trip because my mom and I made a trip to the Mega store and ate mostly in our condo, but here is what I can tell you:
San Jose:
La Panga Antigua - right across the street from the Catholic church. Love it! My RD is here. I'm starting to sound like a broken record about the place, but it was delicious.
Tropicana Inn -- this place was great and not too $$. It's in a hotel right downtown, they have indoor and outdoor seating, and yummy normal Mexican food. Room for big groups if you want to go out with the whole family.
In Cabo:
La Golondrina (?) some people call it the original Trailer Park I think? -- this place was so overrated in my mind. Expensive, not very good, and really only for tourists. Save your $, in my opinion.

Thanks Janet! These are great tips and REAL info I can use to further my research.

MariaElena,
In downtown Cabo, do not miss the Nowhere Bar. It really is a great place for dinner (especially if you like sushi) and mostly for grabbing a few coctails & hanging out. It's more "adult" than some of the more well known spots, it sits right on the marina and has wonderful service. That's my big PSA.
Also if you are into eating a lot of food, try Brasil in downtown also. They do something like a 10 or 12 course meal for $25 (last time I was there). It's kinda cool, they bring these big swords with different kinds of meat to the table & slice it right onto your plate. There is no way you can eat everything they offer you! It's just a fun place.
Also, there are so many cool little spots that I can't remember the name of, but I'm sure you will find your own by just exploring.

Nik San Sushi in downtown. I know sushi sounds like a weird rec, but it was delish.
The Office. this one is obvious.
The Crazy Lobster. I think we each had lobster & beer for about $25 USD
Panchos. Good. downtown
Mi Casa also very good.
I would also check tripadvisor's Cabo forums. I always see tons of good restaurant recs on there.

Sorry Maria Elena, I'm just mooching off this posting, since I'm trying to figure out where we will be going when we're there also, and I've never been there either.
Are you going to do a really "fancy" night out to dinner? We were thinking about going to either Las Ventanas or One and Only for dinner one of those nights. I have read mixed reviews about "C" in One and Only. Any thoughts by anybody that has been to either one of the hotel's restaurants for dinner?
Where are you honeymooning (if you don't mind me asking)?

I am a big fan of Mi Casa in Cabo - such a fan that it's #1 on my list of reception sites. It's pretty casual and the food is great. They have this stuffed pepper with walnut sauce that I would give my right arm for. It can be touristy but it's worth it for the food. We ate there 2 nights last time I went to Cabo.

Where are you honeymooning (if you don't mind me asking)? | You're funny! We all mooch off each other!
We ARE going to do a fancy night, probably at Mi Cocina (Casa Natalia). I'm doing a spa day with lunch at Las Ventanas with my family. I can't wait for that!
We're staying in Cabo for our honeymoon. We'll be at Hilton from 10/24 - 10/29 and then move to another hotel. I'm not sure where we'll move to yet. My FI is supposed to be in charge of this, but I don't think he's done anything yet - GAH!!! What about you?
