Angie-
I go to the Guanacaste area to visit my BF who is a wedding coordinator for Tropical Occasions (Cheryl you may know her, her name is Brynn), she covers that area. I love love love love it there. I was going to do my wedding there, but my FI's family wants us to do Mexico. Argh!!! I also don't want BRynn to have to work on my wedding day, hee hee... If you need any info I just got back from there last week and could get you in touch with Brynn if you wanted some of your questions answered.
Cherly great to hear you are working with tropical occasions. Congrats
Kathy

Yep, I met Brynn while we were down there scouting around. My FH and I really wanted to do the wedding in Playa del Coco but they didn't really have much in the way of accommodations. We would have been fine but some of our guests (like our parents) ... not so much.
Tropical Occasions has been great to work with thus far!

Hi Angie,
It's getting down to the wire. Just a couple weeks until our wedding at Costa Verde. Any last minute advice on do's or don'ts? Anything you wish you done differently that you haven't already mentioned?
Cheryl

Sorry! I am so late on responding. I am not sure if you are doing your flowers through Costa Verde, but I would strongly advise on not asking for roses. I would just go with the tropical flowers, plus they are cheaper!
The picture below shows the two bouquets I ordered. The one with the roses was supposed to be mine, but I thought it was just too small and it was way more expensive!!!!

Hi Baybug!
I hate to bother you, but I am also getting married at Costa Verde on March 21st of 2009. I found your review incredibly helpful! I had a couple questions about Costa Verde which I would really appreciate help on, if you don't mind.
(1) Why did you choose el Avion? We are thinking of having the reception at El Anaconda, but can't get a straight answer out of Carol regarding whether we can have a band there.
(2) We are going to get married at the tent at the end of the adult pool at the "toldo". We couldn't decide between that and the Event Center, but finally chose the Toldo since it seemed more open. Did you happen to see this area?
(3) how much did your band charge you?
Thanks for your help!
Dominique
