I tested writting the old book with a fine tip sharpie. There was no problem. I also shut the page instantly after I wrote it & it didn't smudge.

your book is such a good idea! I should own stock in shutterfly for the amount of those photo books that i buy!
on a different note, I saw your pic of Mont St Michel, wasnt that a fun place? Did you try an apple tart there? YUMMY

When we drove up, there were sheep all over the fields. It was amazing. I did have a tart & it was really good. I love apples, so normandy was a great place to be. We stayed in Bayeux near the D-Day sites & had fresh apple juice & apple jam every morning. I want to go back, but there are so many places I need to see before I can start repeating trips.
