We got our MC at the courthouse 2 days before the wedding in clearwater. It took about 10 minutes for the whole thing. I printed out the forms before hand on their website.

In regards to the reception at the Hilton in Clearwater, from what they sent me the food starts out at $100pp. We were wanting something cheaper and simpler do you know if they do anything for less?

Hilton is a little expensive. Would you be able to recommend any other places for a small but elegant reception?

Hi. I'm having my wedding in Clearwater in October. We are also having our ceremony in Sand Key Beach! Our reception will be at the Wine Cellar a few miles down the road in North Reddington Beach. We are having a smaller wedding around 60ppl, but the Wine Cellar is a restaurant that can hold over 100 people in their reception hall. They have several wedding menu options, the least expensive one being $50+ per person. You can check our their wedding packages on their website the Wine Cellar Fine Dining - Award wining Fine Dining Restaurant North Redington Beach Quality Service and Gourmet Food- Weddings, Special Occasions, Catering and Banquets. They also have a reasonable charge for the room. After looking around at reception places in Clearwater/St.Pete area, we found that hotels were just out of our budget.

How many people are you planning on having at your wedding? There were other places I looked into but they were for smaller (<75ppl) venues. If you want more info let me know.

I may have some pictures of sand key beach if you would like me to post, and if i can figure out how to do that

Hope this helps!

I'm based here in the Pinellas area and know of a few great vendors to recommend.

Makeup by Donna Camposecco. She worked for many years on the sets of HSN and had specialized experience makeup that will hold up in hot, outdoor conditions AND look great on camera. If you'd like, pm me, and I can send your her info.

D.J. Chris Craze - worked with him at a wedding recently and he was a lot of fun, very lively and had great music selection. He also DJ's at the Floyd's Nightclub inside the Seminole Hardrock Hotel & Casino in Tampa. I think his site is DJ/VJ CHRIS CRAZE TAMPA , FL

Florists - I've heard rave reviews and seen amazing work by the Redman Steele Floral Studio.

That's about all I can think of right now, though I'm sure there are more I'm missing! :)

Best of luck to you in your planning! I'm sure it will turn out beautifully. I know the Tradewinds has gorgeous beachfront and is a well know resort here. :)

Tee... also forgot to mention, if you're still looking for a reception venue in the area, there is a really cool, modern space at the Nova535 Art Gallery in St. Pete. It is a very urban-chic, renovated 1920's loft-style space with exposed brick, hardwood floors and 18 foot ceilings. I know that they also do menu planning and food service, though I have no idea about their pricing. They have that info on their website though, I'm pretty sure. (Some photo galleries there too that show the space.)

Overview : Space Rental : NOVA 535

Just an idea, though I'm not sure where you're specifically looking for a reception venue. :)
