karma: 2 | Trying to Compare La Jolla and the Melia PV
We're looking at the Barcelo La Jolla and the Melia Puerto Vallarta all-inclusive hotels for our honeymoon.....
But aren't sure which to go with.
Anyone stayed at either or BOTH and want to weigh in?
We'll appreciate all responses!
Thanks : )

I went to a wedding 2 years ago in the Westing and we stayed in the Melia PV , the hotel is big and it was fine regarding installations. The food is not that great, just OK and the drinks were small and watery, but they have very good service and the people is very helpfull.
I can't compare with Barcelo, because I havent stayed there but also you need to consider locatoin when you are comparing this 2 resorts. Melia is on the Marina, and Barcelo is more south PV.
Hope this help you a little bit.. also you can check the reviews for both in TripAdvisor.com

I stayed at La Jolla years ago. Benifits- nice pool, private beach, all suites, vera affordable IMO; Negatives- really far from downtown PV and I've read that the beach (sand) has washed up and there really is none left at all.

Thank you, girls. We ended up choosing the Melia based on us being down there for 13 days and needing a good deal : ) We're going to be doing a bit of hotel hopping--starting out at the Sheraton PV, then going to Guadalajara and then coming back to PV and staying at the Melia. Hopefully we'll be able to relax a bit--I know we'll have fun though! Thanks for the suggestions : )
