This is my engagement ring. It's not super traditional and exactly what I wanted. I absolutely love it. It's a platinum band Montana sapphire with two round cut brilliant diamonds on each side.

This is not my hand in the picture. I can't seem to get a good shot of it on my hand. This is from the website and on the designers hand herself.

Yes. As far as I know most Sapphires are somewhat heat treated and this one is a little harder to come by. I struggled a lot when FI asked about what sort of ring I would want- months prior. I actually wasn't really sure. I knew that I wanted conflict free diamonds and that was about it. ( I saw in your orior post that was important to you as well. :) ) After some research I came up with some ideas and several of them involved sapphires. I basically told him the shapes that I didn't want- and he did his thing. I adore it. I know it's not for everyone but it's perfect for us.

Jenny- Im not sure if you figured it out but if not- I put my camera on "Macro" setting, and that makes the pic very detailed. You might have to focus in to get the right shot.

Here are pictures of my engagement ring from the website. I loooooooooooove my ring! It's exactly what I wanted... was it a surprise yes and no. About a year and a half ago I sent him an e-mail of ten different ring design, but I put my favorite one on my screen saver. When talking to my girlfriends who are married those who didn't like their engagement rings were the ones who did not convey to their husbands what they wanted in a ring. Although the ring design wasn't a big surprise the proposal was!
