Oh my goodness, it's kicking in that the wedding is really coming up and this forum string just kicked it in a bit more. Still feel like I have stuff to do but don't know that I have that much of a grip on what I need. Hmm...

Wedding date : November 11, 2007

Ceremony: Gazebo 4:00pm

Reception: Oceana Terrace 5:00-10:00pm

Food: Still need to decide on this

Cake: The cream colored tres leches cake with some gerber daisies on it

Flowers: Red, orange and yellow gerber daisies for the bouquets, ivory roses for Mother's corsages and not sure yet about boutannierre (sp?)

Music: Ipod and speaker set up at dreams for reception, Trio for ceremony

Hair and Makeup: Hair - Dreams Salon - doing makeup myself

Wedding Cordinator Mariana at Dreams

Phontographer: Gilda Badillo

Videographer: Baja Video Productions

Some stuff I've done allready:

  • Invitations
  • OOT Bags
  • Booked flights and hotel for wedding and honeymoon
  • All guests are booked and have a couple more weeks to turn in their final payment for their rooms.
  • Booked photog and videographer
  • Have all our attire for wedding and welcome dinner
  • Booked BD pics for the following Monday (a lil nervous about this)

Stuff I need to do:

  • Decide on meal choices
  • Order Japanese Lanters
  • Nail down flowers for bouttennierres
  • Schedule fitting for maid of honor
  • Decide on and start building our playlist
  • Wedding day jewelry
  • Buy rings (eep, this is cutting it a lil close)
  • Wedding day shoes for both of us

We're moving down to Austin (after living in VA all my life and having all of my family here) just 2.5 weeks before we leave for the wedding so it's going to be quite a stressful October/early Nov for us. Not to mention we're trying to sell our townhouse up here in VA and have to have it sold before we close on our new house so time is ticking. ((hyper ventilating)) smile124.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
