 | So this week I went to my hometown to visit my parents, and my MOH who was visiting her parents. We went dress shopping on Tuesday and I totally didn't think I would find anything. I have been in every store in Lansing and couldn't find anything that really jumped out at me as "the one". Well, I found it! It was the second dress I tried on. I knew as soon as I put it on that my search was finally over. It is totally different than anything I would have ever pictured myself wearing, it is so simple, but yet screams WOW when I have it on. I've never had a dress do that before.
I was really sad because I love the side gather style and the pick ups, but because I'm so short those dresses just don't look quite right on me. This dress it exactly what Jeff has described too, so I know 200% for sure that he will love it.
Sorry about the pics, it's so hard to get a good dress picture!
Close up of bodice detail. This is the only detail on the dress. Notice the top is champagne colored and the bottom is white.
I love my veil. It is as long as my dress and has scalloped beaded edging with a waist length blusher.
The back just has buttons all the way down and there is the same detailing as the front. |

 | Oh, and thanks for letting me know the designer, also. I went to the Venus webpage and I found this:
I like the dress is kinda cool, but mostly what caught my attention is what she has on her head. I thought it was a fruit basket at first glance! LOL! |

 | Oh Sh*t! I've fallen in love with an expensive gown! OK, So I'm in St. Louis visiting my parents and I tried on this red saree of my mom's and it lookds pretty - not FANTASTIC but pretty. Anyway we had some free time today and figured we'd go try on a few bridal dresses... BIG MISTAKE!!!!!
We were at Neiman's and thought to myself - what the hell I'll try on this one dress... well, guess what? It's AMAZING. I have seriously never looked more gorgeous in any peice of clothing in the world.
Problem is it's way above my budget... um yeah - WAY above my budget!
My dad thinks I've lost my mind and I love it so much I'm ready to buy it myself. Can anyone talk some sens einto me? This is exactly what I swore I wouldn't do...

My dress was way more than I ever thougt I would pay. It is actually being made to fit me and it hasn't been started yet. I was waiting until after the holidays...hoping to loose a few pounds...yeah right!!! It is hard when you fall in love with a dress becasue you will compare it to every other dress you try on! | Kristi - Try this link: Monique Lhuillier - fall 2005

They're not great pictures, but all I have! And the dress fits awful since the woman had it akwardly pinched in the back. Let's home mine fits better!

 | Re: Show Off Those Gowns!! Here's my dress. I tried on about 25 dresses over the course of two weeks and I wound up buying the first one I tried on! How crazy is that!?
So ladies - what do you think? |
