Sorry I have been gone so long, one wedding, two different state receptions and a broken foot=Mishi having a nervous breakdown... anyway I updated the Gown Gallery with all of the pics I could find. If yours still isn't on there, just PM me with the pic and I will add it. I have been getting caught up and I realized how much I miss you girls, you are too much fun ;-}

The dress on me -- but a really bad photo, it looks much better in person, and I am NOT having a full length veil, though I did buy a veil on whim while there! I wasn't even having a veil a thought, but I just bought a simple, shorter, ivory veil with piping.

I just like it because it is very weddingy, while also being cool and floaty for the beach. This is the shorter length veil by the way.

I'm bummed the pictures didn't turn out better! but honestly, it didn't look that much worse on me than on the model!

This is my dress, obviously not on me but on the model! I'm having a tough time with bridesmaids dresses b/c I have 8 and they are not agreeing on very much!

ok here it is:

yeah, i'm not the gloves type.....SO i won't be sporting those.....

i'm going strapless...relying on the girls

the train will be about 1 1/2 ft. long and is scalloped like the top. it's so me...well, you don't know what i look like but i promise, it is :) and i promise to post pics of it in 10-12 weeks when i go for my first fitting (b/c they wouldn't let me take pics there.....

I found this Maggie dress on my last shopping attempt. I absolutely love it, but it was $200 more than I wanted to spend. I know that doesn't seem like much, but I keep pushing my budget further and further.

If you buy a Maggie dress you get a veil (up to $120) and shoes (up to $50) for free. I already picked out a veil and a pair of shoes (the shoes won't be for the wedding day because I planned on not wearing any. They were cute wedges I could wear every day.)

I keep rationalizing that this deal will equal out to my 2nd choice Maggie dress that is $800.

However, it's just so hard because I didn't want to buy a $1000 dress in the beginning. I feel kinda horrible even thinking about it, but I love it!

Did any of you feel this way? What did you do?

I am excited to announce that I got my dress on Friday!! It is a Pronovias gown that I got for $199!!!! It was originally $900!

A local bridal salon was having a sidewalk sale this week and I stopped in on Wednesday. After looking around and trying on a few dresses I was getting ready to leave with nothing in hand. The owner asked if there was anything specific I was looking for and I mentioned to her that we were doing a DW on the beach in Mexico. She then became really excited, stating that she had "the perfect dress" for me. She went into the sale room (which I did not even know existed) and brought out the dress. I tried it on and it fit to a T!! I did not need any alterations what so ever and I fell in love with it! It was marked $399 and I was ready to buy it at that price but she said that she could go down to $199 for it! I asked her to hold it for me until Friday when my mom came over to visit.

Friday came along and I took my mom in to see what her thoughts were of it. I came walking out and you could tell by the look on her face that she loved it as much as I did!

It is a VERY light-weight dress, but it is hard to see in the pics. It has a satin lining and then 2 or 3 layers of tule or chiffon over top, along with beading on the bodice and the gown.

I actually bought a different dress a few months ago but never posted it because I didn't feel it was "the one". I am so glad that I found this dress and know it was meant for me!!!
