I started researching some of the resorts at Punta Cana and the prices are very reasonable. I would like to contact the wedding coordinator at Ocean Blue/Sands and the Iberostar Punta Cana, but I cannot find a direct email. Does anyone have this info? Also, any information on these resorts would be greatly appreciated!

I am getting married at the Ocean Sands/Blue resort in a month, any info just ask, I have ton's. I am happy with my choice, except for the photographer dillemma, they only seem to have resort photogs in the DR.
My wedding is for 45 people so I can help with info on the cost of things. What date are you looking at? bodas.hobs@oceanhotels.com.do
You want to direct it to Julisa Fiqueroa, she is the wc at the resort an she is wonderful.
Kelly~

Kelly,
Thanks for the info. A travel agent I contacted yesterday suggested that I stay closer to Texas (ie. Playa or Cancun). She has a point because some of our family will only be joining us for 2 or 3 nights. Ocean sounds like a great resort, I will definitely contact Julisa once I can straighten out where we are going to get married.

I can tell you that compared to what some of the girls are paying in Mexico, compared to what I am paying are huge differences, the Ocean Blue is extremely reasonable. I do not feel I have had to downgrade anything, except the photographer, but as I said before I can better tell you after my wedding (not long now ) if the quality is all I hope.
I happen to love Mexico though, I don't believe you can go wrong in that choice, happy deciding!

I saw your post and the dilemma you are having with the photographer. I am in the same boat not sure what to do. I have someone who will shoot for me. He shoots for the CFL, NFL, Maxium Magazine, so he does good work and only wants me to pay for his trip - 1500. However, I am just a bit skeptical as he is going to put everything to disk and we have to print frame and create our own album so that is a lot of work.
I got a qoute from Juan Carlos Tapia photgraphy and for 12 hours in total of shoot he wanted $8000. He does great work but $8000 is soooooooo expensive. So I feel sick on what to do, since I want fabulous pics.
Are you getting the resort to do the video portion of it too??
Do you have direct email to the photographer at all.
Sabrina

I am going to get the resort to video the ceremoy, I am going to have the resort photographer take pics, I am going to bring examples of what I want. My daughter, Kenda, who is a fairly good photographer is going ot also take pictures, I have promised her a really good camera next week, so her quality will be better. Kenda is good, but I need a photographer, I am just crossing my fingers that one of the three they have will be pretty good.
I agree I think $8000.00 is too much money, no matter how good you are, I promise that I will e-mail you my pictures from the photographer, and if you can hold off till the end of August to make decisions, you will be better advised by me.
I think E and I are going to head to Mexico for our honeymoon, next pril/may and I will do a ttd session with one of the wonderful photographers there, but I will decide that after I see how my photographer will be.

I would love to just have all my pictures on a disc. Then you have the freedom to do whatever you want with them. But I really love playing with pictures on the computer.
