I want to make my own wedding album for us, our parents and grandparents.* As beautiful as Juan Carlos Can make them, i know i can't afford the price for his books so i did some of my own research.

you can make your own albums here:

www.kodakgallery.com (duh, we all know this Click the image to open in full size.)

www.sharedink.com (this is probably the best quality books you can get.* it is where alot of pro photogs get theirs.* it*does not have as many templates as mypublisher, kodak, or shutterfly BUT it gives you the ability to do full bleed and to cusomize it exactly how you want)

www.mypublisher.com (referred to MIL by a professional camera/film store...supposedly has higher quality prints)

www.classicalbum.com (doesn't have price list unless you register first...BLAH!)

www.candid2000.com (may not be classy enough looking)

www.coffeetableweddingalbum.com

www.picaboo.com

I would not use shutterfly and ifish.com but think their quality is lower than kodak so i would rather use kodak.

I used my publisher for my engagement photod and it looks fine. I've read some bios where the pages were created using power point and transferred to my publisher. I'm not that advanced yet, nor was my photographer but from the look of the books on the bios it's great.

I plan on using my publisher again for the wedding! If you'd like some names of the brides I can attempt to locate again.

This is a great idea. Also, for all Mac users out there, you can design really cool stuff right in iPhoto, upload to mac.com, and get books printed there that are absolutely stunning. My boss is always making them for people for wedding/baby gifts and they look so professional, customized, and amazing.

i just started putting my book together and it is really easy...some tips...

1. make a seperate folder with all the pics you want to use. it is easier than trying to pick from the hundreds of pics while you are in the program.

2. have the pics in the order you want your album. doesn't have to be the exact order because you can move the pics around but if they are a general order or grouped it will be so much easier.

I found this post on the knot: The bookmaker softwear has to be used regardless. I did a book similar to the tempates they provided (but in Shutterfly). In the end, I didn't like the restrictions with how many picutres I could fit on a page, where I had to journal, etc. If you design the "picture" yourself using a program like powerpoint- you can layer pictures on top of one another, write accross the pictures, etc. You have more versatility. I have the directions to get started if you would like me to e-mail them to you, leave your address. Or look at CourntneyJean 's bio, theres less detailed, but still good directions there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
