Hey fellow past RIU Brides.. do you remember there being anywhere to hang any chinese style laterns from the mexican terrace for our reception?

I emailed adriana and asked about the lanterns and she kinda poo-poo'd it. She didint think there was a place for them and I do know there are fans hanging from the ceiling and there are sconces on the columns. I would email her and ask her if you are really interested in doing it. :)

I would say no unless you could somehow string them where the blind things that block the sun and wind come down.

When we were there on vacation in April they were setting up for a recep dinner and it looked awesome. The palm trees are in perfect rows so you would probably be able to string some paper lanterns or the like from them. I'm pretty sure they already have light strings hung from tree to tree.
Just a thought.
