OOT bag info

I honestly don't know what I would do without this site! I would not have anything cool...I will tell you that!

One thing I am concerned about is lugging all this stuff to the DW. Would it be tacky to give out the OOT bags before the guests leave for the wedding? Almost everyone going lives in the same town, so it wouldn't be difficult to do...that way they can bring what they want and I don't have to have EVERYTHING in my bags :)

Thoughts anyone? I don't know the eitiquette of OOT bags :)

You can definitely do that! I handed mine out before, well we are leaving next week. I handed them out a month ago. I wanted everyone to have them ahead of time so they don't get double stuff. Like I gave them aloe vera gel and I didn't want them to buy some since I provided it.

I think that is a great idea esp since it would be convenient for you, that way people dont bring doubles!

Just wondering about assembly before you all went to mexico or after arrival.

I'm thinking if we put together the bags before we travel that would save us time down there, but what does customs think about that?

I'm planning on putting them all together once we get there. I know its gunna be a hassle but I'm worried some things will break so I have to pack them up really well. Also, I fear it will take more pieces of luggage if I were to assemble them first, then pack them.

My mom, sister and I are getting to the resort 2 days before our guests so I figure between the three of us we'll get it done quickly.

I've been wondering this too! Is it okay to bring down that much stuff of the same thing? I've already asked a few of my close friends if they will carry some stuff for me. Has anybody had problems bringing "bulk" items of things into Mexico? Do you hide it in your luggage?

I got my Advil packets from Office Depot. I spent around $17 for 100 individual packets.

I actually purchased gift bags in a pearl ivory color, cut a hole in the middle of the bag and inserted a cut out in my wedding colors with "Welcome to our wedding weekend" printed on it. I took a beach chair stamp and stamped the tag then cut strips of paper and punched palm trees with a palm tree punch on top. They are so cute. I got the bags at the Deals dollor store as well as the palm tree punch. I got the stamp on eBay. In my bags will be:

1. flip flops
2. water with personalized label
3. coin purse
4. key lime cookies
5. playing cards
6. word search book
7. booklet of things to do in Ft. Lauderdale
8. thank you card
9. coffee
10. tea
11. crystal light packets
12. snacks
