I've uploaded a profile picture and when I view 'Edit Profile Picture' I can see my pic on there. However, it doesn't show when I write a post. Why is that?

Also, your profile picture is different from the avatar. The profile picture won't show when you post, only the avatar. In the User CP, in the left menu bar, you'll see Avatar. That's where you will want to upload your picture to.
