tara after shooting there i would suggest having the people you want in the photographs come over on the boat and do those before the ceremony. you guys can still have a first meeting alone. and those make for cool pics. then spend a little time doing photos with just the two of you. and finally do your family before the ceremony.

i dont know who your photographer is but i would talk to them about it. you may have to pay for the extra people to be there during the day but it would be worth it if you want nice family photos that arent in the dark.

Tara that's tough :o( I was worried about that at my wedding and the sun didn't set until at least 8pm. How are you with seeing FI before the wedding? Some people are against that. Your pictures won't be totally dark and will still be beautiful either way. I mean, a beach wedding is always going to photograph well, right?

It's too bad they can't move it up though....wonder why? They moved a wedding up for a girl who got married at Las Caletas the day before me. Since the President was in town and the marina was super busy for the Navy anniversary, they were going to lock down the marina at the time her boat was supposed to leave, so they changed the time (on a week's notice - imagine contacting all your guests to tell them that 1 week prior) and the wedding started a few hours earlier. I guess that was because there was no other choice and they couldn't cancel on her?

thanks leigh. That was exactly the kind of info we needed.

They said they couldn't move it up earlier because the boats are out doing tours. So now i'm looking into chartering our own boat. If that doesn't work we're going to bring our families over early. I'd rather not see Joe before the wedding but in this case I'd rather see him and have some pics with our families while its still light out.
