I am on a posting frenzy tonight! I am trying to get a general budget together to share with my fiance and I was wondering how much DJs and bands cost (on average) in PV. I have been quoted some outrageous amounts by wedding coordinators, and so I want to see if they are accurate (i.e. $550 an hour for live music, $200 and hour for a DJ!).

Yes live band are kind of expensive but I love live bands, here are the options I got:
- Grupo Strella ( is from Guadalajara) they charge around 55,000 pesos for 5 hours including some of the travel expenses: Grupos Versatiles Guadalajara | STRELLA Organizacion Musical | Grupos Musicales Guadalajara they answer really fast. This is one of the best.
- Grupo Enlace: ( from GLD too but with offices at PV) they charge around 35,000 pesos for 5 hours. No travel expenses needed. http://www.enlaceshow.com/ Carlos Mora will be very kind on answering your questions. Tell him I sent you and might get a "discount". I have talked him about the forum so probably he will.
- Grupo Farra : I dont have a quote but are like a very popular band from PV... one thing I didnt like is they are might want to sing their own songs because they have done some records as its showned in their page: Grupo Farra... La mejor elección para su evento
Regarding DJs I have posted some names and emails in other threads. If you cant find it, PM and I will send those directly to you, but average cost for a local DJ its around 500 USD- 1500 USD per 5 hours ,depending on the DJ.

Edna | Edna, can you believe that Carlos has not sent us the contract!!! Its so odd, he replied to our emails/call last monday and said that he would send us the contract during the week and he never did, ugh!!! I'm continuing to urge him since I really like the band, the WC said they are the best in PV and I think they are a great deal, but I really think he's avoiding us since he quoted us 28,000.
I'm planning on calling him, again, tomorrow.

oh by the way, I can't seem to view Enlace's website anymore! It says that it is forbidden. Have you had this same issue Edna?

It's Odd that Carlos do not reply on the contract. He sent me some stuff to my address when I asked him. Did you sent the deposit already to secure the date?

we're getting married at las caletas and the price for a trio is 750/2 hours, and a dj is 490 for the entire event.
