Default La Casa Que Canta

Hi all! Has anyone been married at this resort or attended a wedding there? I think I want to have my wedding there...

I LOVE that resort. We spent a week there as part of our honeymoon.

It would make for a beautiful small wedding. How many people are you planning on having? There are a number of spots where they could host the wedding, but it would depend on the size.

FYI - staff is GREAT (really). Food is also quite good.

It's expensive to stay there, but I'm sure they'd work with you on the cost.

Hi, we would have no more than 45 people... it is really pricey and they are only quoting a 10% discount... which isnt a lot. I am not aure whether I should maybe go through DestinationWeddings.com - Destination Weddings and Honeymoons ro see if they can get me a better deal.... I dont mind paying for it if its unbelievable!

It is a great place. Very beautiful and they can handle 45 people.

Next door is Club Intrawest and there's Villa del Sol (further down the beach). You could look into those - if not for the wedding, then maybe to have most of your guests stay there. The Villa is really beautiful at La Casa Que Canta (I wonder if it's big enough to host the wedding) but Room #10 (called Besame Mucho) is AWESOME for you to stay in as well if you don't want to spend the Villa price.

You might also look at the Amuleto for your wedding. I've seen photos from several weddings there which leads me to believe that they are a bit more accommodating price wise for groups.

We toured all of the best hotels in Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo in April 2007. Without question, La Casa Que Canta is absolutely one of the best. They have some amazing wedding sites and very romantic rooms, but you definitely pay for it!

Amulteo is also an amazing hotel, but they've only done a handful of weddings to date. It's a very romantic, intimate and secluded hotel with probably the best view in the area. You can check out their website at Amuleto - A Boutique Hotel

Other small romantic hotels in Zihuatanjeo that you might want to consider include La Quinta Troppo (near La Ropa Beach) and Hotel Las Palmas (near the airport). Club IntraWest and Villa del Sol are also great hotels on La Ropa Beach, but they're a bit less intimate.
