Hey Ladies,
I finally made a decision and I am so excited. We are booking Dreams for our wedding on July 19, 2008. It seems so far away but everyone is telling me it will be here before you know it. I was hoping for a earlier date but Cabo is so popular the dates are limited. Well I will be starting my new job this August as a teacher and will be off this summer. What can I start planning this summer for my wedding? I feel like its too early for most things but I would like to take advantage of the time I will have as I know I will be busy as a first time teacher later this year. Any advice would be great. Somehow setting a date makes it feel so much more real. I still can't believe I am getting married!!!

CONGRATULATIONS.....you are just a few days after me!! I know it feels like a long time away but at least we have time to get all the details and decisions made ahead of time!! 
I have started on my Save the Date cards so I can give my guests lots of time to save their money to come down there. This way we know if we will need more rooms than is on our room block too!! I also started a website with all the travel details and accomadations on it as well.

I have been searching for my save the dates and plan on sending them soon. I have been working on a website as well. It's all so exciting!

congrats!!!! and it is never too early- i booked my date (this June) in June of last year- and start booking vendors EARLY- especially photographers because they book up fast in June- congrats and if you need ANYTHING please let me know because i am just finishing the whole process- we get married at Dreams cabo in 21 days-yea!!!!

Congratulations Jess! Getting the venue locked down is a biggie- now you can get on to the fun stuff! Have you decided on a photographer? They book up really fast too. Do you plan to have a videographer, DJ, etc? You might think about booking those early too. Let us know what we can help you with!

How Exciting...Congrats'
I am getting married on June 19, 2008...one month before you! I have booked my photographer and working on the videographer. Mariana at Dreams has been so helpful. I still have a lot of questions Im working on for planning though.
Im working on our website and Save the Dates right now. I am a teacher too, so summer is def. the time to get things done! Its amazing..time really flies we got engaged in December (Christmas Eve) and June 08' seemed so far away...but its seriously not.
We will have to share some ideas~ Take Care

You're on the right track with the STDs, and website. And the other girls are right about the photographer, I'd consider booking your photographer as soon as you can as well (I just booked my photographer this week for my wedding next May)... hell, you can even start dress shopping. One of the dresses I found (and loved) had to be ordered 7-8 months ahead of time (although I think most are around 4-5) So you can give yourself lots of time there too.
