I remember reading a post about this somewhere, but I can't find it now....does anyone have any language that I can use for our save the date letter about using a travel agent? I seem to recall ideas about something like, "While you're welcome to use your own travel agent, we suggest ours because . . . "

Thanks!

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer! If you are still looking for suggestions, this is what we used... not on the actual STD, but on the website I created:

Travel Agent

We are working with Tammy Wright/ Wright Travel Agency to make things as easy as possible for our guests and we have negotiated a lower group rate. If you would like to reserve a room, please contact our travel agent to help with the booking:

Tammy Wright

Wright Travel Agency

[email protected]

It is best to email her with "V----/D----" in the subject line and provide the following information:

Names of guests (as they appear on the passport)

Number of guests

Number of rooms

Number of nights

Departure City (if you need flight information)

Arrival date

Type of room requested

Any additional special requirements.

We also realize that some of our guests will prefer to make their own travel arrangements. If you choose to stay at a different hotel in the Cancun area, please let us know so that we can make arrangements for you to attend our wedding at Dreams.

"While you're welcome to use your own travel agent, we suggest ours because . . . "

...when you book through our TA, you are linked as a member of our wedding group. Any special treatment the resort extends to our wedding group would then be extended to you also (such as possible upgrades, etc...)...

... you qualify for special discounts on golf or spa treatments and our travel agent can make these arrangements on your behalf prior to arrival at the resort...

...our travel agent is well-versed in the unique travel situations that can arise as part of a destination wedding. She has made a committment to our group in order to make our travel and stay as enjoyable as possible....
