wedding day timeline

Recommended Posts

Hi girls do any of you have your timeline for the day of the wedding. For example: What time wedding starts, what time is first dance, what time is mother son and father daughter dance...

Basically what you would give to your coordinator or dj so you know what you will do and at what time.....

thanks

Mine is pretty much an exact replica of Nicole's- just a few times and the names changed! I totally stole it from her... thanks Nicole!

A couple comments about timelines...esp to Nicole!

You won't run on time. You might be close, but it's really hard to keep on track unless you obsess- I refused to, therefore we ran late. Oh well, I didn't care- just FYI.

Juan will spend waaayyyyy more time taking pics of you Nicole than anyone else- you might want to allow more time in your timeline for pics of you and the girls, rather than of the guys- right now you've got more time for the guys.

You're not going to get sunset pics with the timeframe you have. If that doesn't matter to you, then your timeline is fine. If you want them, decide if you're going to take limited pics with Juan, and then go to the reception and break away later, or just show up at the reception late. We had a small group and therefore elected to just show up at the reception late (we didn't get there until almost 8:00- our timeline called for us to be there at about 7). I didn't think of this during my planning, so just some food for thought. It's amazing how fast the time flies when you're there and how much time pics can take. Our pictures were pretty much our #1 priority, so that's where we spent our time...

OK sarah- how is this- i dont really care too much about staying on time i just want to make sure we do all the dances and cut the cake before Juan leaves at 8:30- i guess worst case scenario i could ask him to stay a little longer if we run really late.

how long did yall take pictureshuh.gif?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
