Disneyworld at its best

So right after the wedding, Aaron and I are flying off to Disneyworld (YAY!) for two weeks up to the end of May. We've both been before. I was there when I was just a wee little one, and then we both went last year with my parents and LOVED it! I've been focusing so much on the wedding, I'm forgetting about the honeymoon (which I'm pretty sure is Aaron's favourite part!). Does anyone have any tips for Disney? Any favourite rides at Disney? What about hidden gems in and around the area (not necessarily in the park? We'll probably spend 90% of the time at Disney and the rest around Florida.

Here's what I have so far:

* Where we're staying. We stayed at this awesome villa last year and it was really cheap, clean and big. It was just like a townhouse; we had our own kitchen and everything which is an awesome money saver!

* We need to book dinner at the Cinderella castle 180 days beforehand. That's on the schedule!

* It's on my life list (yes, I have one!

) to ride the Tower of Terror 10 times in one day!

But that's all so far lol. So if you have ANYTHING to help me with Disney and surrounding area for the two weeks we're there, it'd be greatly appreciated!!!

OMG I love Disney!
May I ask why you have to book dinner in advance? We went on Christmas Eve and we didnt have any reservations. It was awesome though!
Ummmm, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Spash mountain!! Its my favourite ride!
Have you thought about going to Universal Studios?? They have really great rides there as well! Also downtown disney is fun if you wanna go to bars and stuff. There are a bunch of different types of theme bars there! We are planning on going to Florida next year too! I love it there!!

Order the disney video. they are always talking about the romantic things for adults to do.

Laura, it's only the cinderella castle that you have to have reservations for. They only take reservations 180 days beforehand, but they apparently book up fast. We didn't know this and went when we were there last year and they looked at us like we were retards! lol. I'd just prefer to make the reservation to be safe rather than sorry - not that it's a huge deal!

I love splash mountain too!! Last time it kept breaking down though, so we'd spend like 20 minutes at a time stuck in one place on the ride! It got old fast! One time we were stuck almost right at the top of the big fall! That was nerve wracking!!! lol

Like Laura said, Universal Studios is also another option to check out. They have a few cool rides and they also have a similar downtown section with stores, and restaurants if you want somewhere to go at night.

Downtown Disney turns wicked at night. Lots of clubs/bars downtown. It's so funny to see this other side of Disney. They have an 80's club among others.

Check out the Cirque Du Soliel La Nouba!!! Love it.

When we went in Feb, we also stayed at a villa, but it was in Kissimee (or however you spell it). Is your villa actually in Orlando?

Epcot center is always cool.

If you need a shopping fix, the Florida Mall is HUGE.

The Orlando Outlets are also nice.

Ther's also a ton of Murder Mystery Dinner shows in Orlando.

Umm, no I think it was in Kissimee, but I'm not sure. All of their cities/towns there are pretty much one giant city! It's very different from the prairies, here - there are can be hours between cities... there, I didn't even know I left the city I was just in!!

The villas were called Regal Palms. Is that where you stayed? I'd recommend them to ANYONE. They've got a lazy river (which we didn't get a chance to check out last time

), and I think we paid around $500ish for a week. WAY better than staying at one of the Disney Resorts.

As for your last suggestion - I'm sorry... I'm still trying to convince my parent's that bringing them on my honeymoon is out of the question! lol

Haha! Do your parents really want to go with you? That's funny. Fi's mom totally wants to hang out with us during the honeymoon time (we are just doing our honeymoon in St. Thomas, and most of our guests are staying there for a few extra days after as well, but Fi's mom actually wants to spend days hanging out with us (plus Fi's dad and sis).

I was like... ummm, No, love ya and everything, but we neeed some alone time!

Hmm... I don't know the name of the place we stayed... but I just googled it.. and I'm not sure. It might be it, it might not. The pictures look a lot like the place we stayed at. And the pool house that sleeps 9 looks exactly like the place we rented:

But, all those rental homes in the Orlando area look so similar it's hard to tell. It might be the same place though!

And yes, all the towns are so connected it was hard for me to tell where we were as well!

No that makes sense, but just so you know, we ate at the castle. Upstairs in the tower and we didnt have reservations. But better to be safe than sorry!

If you like risk taking, I recommend trying out for Fear Factor at Universal. Shawn and I did that when we were there two years ago (it had just opened). It was SO awesome! Not to mention, they loved the fact that we were dating (they didn't know that when we were casted) so I'm sure they'd love newly weds!
