I'm so mad at "express" scripts... ugh!!

So I've been using Express Scripts for years to fill my bc pills. They mail me 3mths at a time and just take it out of my checking account. So far I haven't had any problems. Until now that is! I went in 3 weeks ago for my annual exam and got a new perscription. Which I then mailed into express scrips. I get a voicemail 4 days later saying they received it and are processing. Then 4 more days later I get another voicemail, which I assumed was them telling me it was shipped. I was wrong. it said there was an unexpected dealy in processing my order. Ok. Whatever. So I call them and they tell me it was shipped out last Monday. It's been over a week and I still don't have it!! What if this was a life or death situation

I'd be dead! And my insurance FORCES me to us Express Scripts. If i go to target once or twice a year they send me nasty mail telling me my co pay is going to go up if I'm not using express scripts. So, anyway, now I haven't been taking bc for over 2 weeks! Ugh. And I'm so not ready to be a Mom. And today I call and they won't replace it for two weeks! They suck!

Oh Tara that sucks! Please tell me you're using something else in the meantime! I'm 2 days late on getting my BC refilled (yesterday's drama foiled my plan to get to the pharmacy) and I'm freaking out- can't imagine how you feel. Good luck...

So, here's something I just thought of. Remember when you first started BC? (man that seems like forever ago!) I semi remember them telling me that it's not totally effective for a month. Is that still true? Are there any nurses or doctors on this forum?? I'm already a dog mom and that's good for now

I actually was told it's not totally effective for up to two months. And that is true when starting and stopping again as well.

Oooh Tara! I had problems with them too! It seemed like there was always something...

One year they sent me the generic without asking, which was new. Shouldn't they have asked since they had been filling it with what was prescribed?

Anyway, my doc clearly put DAW - Dispense As Written going forward on anything I sent them. Then, once I sent it and I thought, 'I should get it in the mail any day now' ... they call me to tell me about the generic they have! I told them I cannot take the generic and make sure they note it in my file.

Next year, same thing... soooo, I have had to call my doc a few times to call in a 1-month prescription into the local pharmacy since we were cutting it close.

I have another company to use now and I have no complaints.

Sorry you have to go through this ... my fingers are cross that you get them today.

OMG TARA!!!!!!!!!! BE CAREFUL! I see that you are asking about the effectivness when you go off and start again. And lets just say. I was off the pill for 1 month and had sex 1 time and thats how Rayden was conceived! And I had been on the pill for about 6 years before that. So just a little warning for ya!

Honestly (I know this will sound like a made for TV movie) but we had sex 1 time while I was off the pill and he pulled out (sorry too much info!!!) but I became pregnant!
