I know I need to keep it cheap too, we are inviting 200 people (hope they all don't come!) I am only doing a bag per room or couple/family so that should cut down the price a lot. But here are some of the bargains I've found (and I just started looking).

Bags - 60 cents each, but I'm not sure what size they are I'm more of a visual person.

Gift Tote bag

For the contents I am going to buy bulk sizes of pills, band aids, aloe and hand sanitizer then fill up smaller bottles - so far this seems cheaper than buying individual bottles already filled.

Here are a few sites for those - not sure which ones are the best prices yet!

Plastic Bottle & Cap- 2 oz capacity - Travel Size Other Products Products - Minumus.biz

MMS - Bottles

Also think of things friends or family can get you for cheap/free, My mom is a dental hygienist so we are going to throw in a toothbrush and toothpaste, my MOH is still in school so she is going to raid the health center and get condoms for the younger guests and her friend's dad works for tums so we are getting those for free too!

Oh and I was going to make a personalized puzzle book, you can make the puzzles online with whatever words you want (bride, groom, tequila!) so I don't have to buy those!

I'm glad you did this thread though I am looking forward to see some of the deals.

I got my ibuprofen and antacid by medifirst at Amazon and those prices were awesome!!! Here is the link

Then found a site where the bulk alka-seltzer (50pk) is like 15 USD or so...I have the price list at my office email but I will post it tomorrow, anyway here is the site and Rob the manager is a very nice and helpful person, they also have a ziploc bags at 40 cents with bandage, alcohol pad and ointment and he took a picture of this for me, I will make sure I post this tomorrow too.

I am only doing a bag, with 2 mugs/cups and 1 hangover kit on it per couple... because my guest are from Mexico and most guests are only staying for the weekend so no need to spend too much on the bags.

During back to school time (which should be starting soon believe it or not) Staples has penny deals, last year I got mini hand sanitizers for a penny each, I had to recruit some friends because they have a limit but my sister is a teacher so they have a larger limit. I also got the box pencil holders that slide out that I am going to use for first aide kits for a penny each. I'm looking forward to getting folders this year to put my DIY puzzle books and welcome info in. I made the puzzle books and printed them at school so that was free (well not really I paided a boat load (pardon the pun) in tuition so I deserve it). I also look at the clearance section at Target near the pharmacy b/c it often has beauty products, I've gotten eyeglass cleaner for people to use with their sunglasses and makeup sponges for the ladies for 75% off. I've also gotten alka seltzer on sale. It's a good idea to get things that come in a bulk package but are individually wrapped like the eyeglass cleaner and alka seltzer. I also raid the Target dollar section esp when those items are on sale. Plus I use my points from my creditcard to buy $50 Target gift cards so I don't feel like I'm spending my money. I've also gotten a lot from Vistaprint but I dont know how much money I've saved since I pay for shipping each time I order but it is def great for postcards, business cards, and labels which brides can turn into everything, there is a thread devoted exculsively to things brides have made with them you should check it out. And just keep checking here because everyone loves to share their great deals! Wow I went on way too long but I hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
