This book was recommended to me and sofar it appears to be good. I wil see once I actually get to hawaii how good all the maps are.
They also have one for Maui.

i drove around oahu...we did it in a few hours...stopped by the side of the road and picked up a white pineapple (sweeter) and some coconuts...the ladies peeled them and cut into pieces and we went on our way...afterward we stopped off for the tradtional plate lunch...teriyaki, spam, fish, rice and macaroni salad...yummy!

We drove around Oahu too and it may be one of your favorite days. The scenery is amazing and like Tammy said, get a plate lunch they are soooo good. Try and make time to swim at Lanikai and/or Kailua, you won't regret it. Aww I wanna go!!!
