chicago peeps i totally recommend kasia dressmakers...they are awesome and so nice...very reasonably price...my alterations were 132.41...note I only had to get the top taken in, straps added, and a bustle...

i have not seen the results but I think it will be fine...i originally went to them looking for a gown and they make a lot of dresses that were nice.... so I went back to them for alterations b/c i liked their dressmaking work...i honestly thought they were going to be expensive...i was thinking about cancelling but I am glad I did not...
if it comes back shabby i will let you know lol

I'm in Chicago. I'm actually working with a seamstress to design and make my dress..... she is also very reasonable. For a dress that I wanted to copy, lazaro, mermaid style, silk with swarowski beads shes charging me $1100 vs. $3800 for the one I wanted.
She will work with any budget. Here is her info:

they did an excellent JOB! especially around the chest area (it was so big)....bustle looks nice...now all all i need to do is GET TO HAWAII!
