I passed there while I was there a couple of weeks ago. It is RIGHT in the thick of the crazy area of medano. May make for a cool reception, I guess it just depends on what kind of feel you want. | |

Hey Ava,
We had our welcome dinner at Baja Cantina Beach (there is also a Dockside location). We loved it! It's a brand new restaurant, so everything is very nice. It has beautiful dark plank wood floors that really stand out in my mind for some reason. You can eat on the beach if you want, but we actually ended up not doing that because it was a bit windy. The whole restaurant is open air and it's right on the beach, so no matter what you will feel close to the ocean.
The night we were there, a Thursday, there was a really good jazzy trio playing; there were several people hanging out around the bar & tables near the music. I felt like it was more of an adult crowd (amongst the spring break madness!), and the whole place had a great vibe.
Our pricing for 19 people was $43 plus tax & service per person. We had 2 hours of open bar and a taco bar that included fish, beef & chicken options plus salad, chips & salsa, and an unexpected desert.

Thank you for all the info! We want our reception to be as fun as possible without having to pay the expensive resort prices. We were quoted such great prices, I really want to have the reception there for that reason alone.

Hi there,
Just returned from Cabo from our scouting trip (really a couple of hrs ago!). We checked out Baja Cantina as a wedding rehearsal option. Definitely a fun place to be. You'll be right in the thick of things so you're guests will be guaranteed a good time. I know you're from the Bay Area; this spot reminds me of one of the nicer outdoor spots in Margaritaville (Capitola, CA). The decor is great and very well kept! Can't remember if FI took pics of this spot; if so I'll include in a trip report! | |
