My letterpress wedding invitations and calligraphy!

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to give props to Jeanie from .::: thePaperNut :::. for my beautiful wedding invitations...she did such a great job and I would highly recommend her for brides looking for more of a modern and non-traditional invitation.

I came across Jeanie's website from a blog, and I loved her modern looking invitations...I fell in love with the Henna design but was thinking that letterpresss is not in my budget even though I love it. Well I got pricing back, and because Jeanie was a new shop, her prices were already a lot lower than regular letterpress vendors - but I even did some tweaking from there (no belly band, envelope printing, etc.) to get the prices within my budget.

I will post the actual invitations - but my camera is being funny -so for now you will get the digital invites - just know they are way more beautiful in person:

And to top it off -she threw in these awesome favor tags:

After I received the invitations - I knew I wanted calligraphy...I wanted something different though, not your standard calligraphy....I found another awesome vendor on etsy: 2inspire on Etsy - Profile

Eleanor was great and did an amazing job...once again these pics are from her website - but mine look exactly the same - just with silver ink on white envelopes...she does beautiful work:

That's it - I promise to post real pics when I can get my camera to work :)

Hey date twin / Joann!

I'm waiting till the swine flu dies down a bit more before I send them out - I am thinking the end of May - what about you?

As far as calligraphy - I had 114 invitations, 114 return addresses on back, and 114 reply envelopes with my address on them to send them back to - final charge was $265 after some negotiating...I think she wanted around $330 at first?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
