Hi Everyone!

 

I've gotten several messages from people, and find various threads with information for Excellence Punta Cana brides, but not a particularly central resource. So I decided it time to start one :) I've gotten wonderful support from many of the upcoming and past EPC brides, and am happy to share information with everyone!

 

My FH and I are getting married July 2, 2009. I'll be adding some documents in the next post that we received from the resort, as well as others I dug up on the internet.

 

I hope past brides will visit to post their links and reviews and we can get a central resource going!

I think this thread is way overdue, so thank you Amber! My FI and I will be tying the knot on May 15, 2010 so we still have a little more than a year away, but I am trying to gather as much info as I can.

So attached are the documents the Excellence staff (Yay Ana Luisa!!!) sent me when I first inquired about weddings there.

 

1. Requirements for weddings

2. Various Wedding Packages and prices, plus information on photography, music, videography, flowers, etc.

3. The original letter of introduction from the wedding coordinator

Hi Everyone:) I got married at Excellence in February and it was AMAZING. I think my only complaint with the resort was the food, it wasn't the greatest, but the wedding and beach made up for that! Everyone in our party had a fabulous time. We just loved it, Lisbeth took care of most everything for our wedding. Feel free to ask me questions, I know how crazy a destination wedding can be:)

Hi theresa! Congrats on your recent wedding. So glad to see an actual EPC bride on the thread! I'm glad that it seemed, overall, to be a pleasant experience for you. So, based on your experience, is there anything about it all that you would have done differently? How were the rooms? Was your ceremony on the beach? I'm working with Yulina and with Ana Luisa less often and so far they are both pretty responsive to my questions.

Hello, my name is Michelle. Amberdgraham and I have shared ideas several times and are getting married only a few days apart! My wedding is July 12, 2009 at Excellence Punta Cana. I chose Excellence because I have been there twice and it is truly a stunning place with the friendliest people. The service is top notch, the grounds are gorgeous, the executive chef is an amazing man, and you can't beat the deals we get to indulge in pure luxury. And no kids, the icing on the cake!!!!! ( I'm a teacher!) We witnessed many weddings while we were there at both the gazebo and beach and they were so beautiful! I will be spending 3 weeks at Excellence so I'm sure I'll see more weddings after mine!!!

 

Theresa I would love to talk to you about how your wedding was. How many people did you have there? And did you get married on the beach or gazebo? Where was your cocktail hr/reception?

 

Ana is my wedding coordinator and she has gone above and beyond what I ever would have expected from a wedding coordinator. She is such a sweet person and she just got engaged herself!!!

We are having our ceremony on the beach, the cocktail hour at Agave (open air restaurant) and back to the beach for the reception! I highly recommend this. We attended the beach party several times across the two times we were there and it was exactly what I dreamed my reception would be, very untraditional, modern, and beachy!!! We have about 40 people traveling with us so far and we can't wait for them to experience Excellence!!

 

Any questions about the resort and/or planning the wedding are welcome!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
