I don't ask people to sign contracts for portrait shoots. I don't ask for a deposit really either. I'm not sure why they would require one for just an engagement type portrait session.

Hi Courtney,

I'm not located in your area, but personally I charge $200 currently for this type of shoot (which I call a "lifestyle" shoot...however my prices will be going up slightly on Nov. 1st) - which includes a web gallery of the images shot and a disc of the images with a few select pics retouched. These shoots usually take between 1-2 hours - just depends on location, how long the couple wants to shot for, etc.

I agree - I don't ask for a deposit or contract for this type of shoot either...only for weddings.

this thread is really old. i was confused when it got bumped because now courtney has all these amazing pictures leigh took so i didn't know what she meant by "i only have boring pictures".
