karma: 0 | real vs fake flower in hair?
Hi everyone! Do you recommend using real flowers or fake flowers for your wedding day hair? I wanted to put two small flowers on one side of my updo (as many people do) but I can't decide whether to buy them before I leave (silk flower) or get them at the resort (real flowers). Thanks for your input!

Personally I would use a fake flower because I want to keep in my hair all day with out wilting I am sure you can find a really “real” looking flower for your hair and no one will know the difference.

I would use fake flowers, that way you always have them.

I would also say fake. I'm thinking back when Rebecca got married and she had a real flower in her hair, it was much bigger then what she orginally wanted (she wanted 2, but ended up with 1 because of the size) it still looked amazing on her, but if you get the flower ahead of time then their will be no surprises.

I also like having a fake flower because then I know what it will look like, and I can use it at my hair trial. And I won't have to worry about it wilting through the evening - and i'ts a nice little keepsake, since I won't be able to keep my bouquet!

Ann speaking of flowers for your hair, have you decided on one yet? If you end up going with the white orchids and if you don't think you will need all three, I'll share the cost with you, I only would want one.

Thanks for your input! | Fake flowers, often made from silk, are also much, much lighter than a real flower. So it will probably stay in place better.
Here's a great site with some options: Hair Flower Boutique: Hair Flowers - Silk Flower Hair Clips
I'm going with the "classic bridal rose set" in cream-ivory since my bouqet is all roses.

I actually had real miniature roses. They were gorgeous and I pressed them afterwards as a keepsake.
