Default Dried Starfish

I plan on using dried starfish for my place cards and I was wondering if I would have any problems taking them on the plane with me from US to Mexico. Is this legal, since it is decorative? I'm worried that I will have issues with customs on my way to Mexico. Help!

I certainly hope not since I'm doing the same thing!! I don't think it should be a problem.

Where are you getting your starfish from?

there's no problem with bringing them... we did without incident... Our WC actually suggested that we buy our seashells/starfish here at home, before we go down, because for some reason, they cost a bit more down there...

I don't think it would be a problem. I went to a wedding in Hawaii and they had dry starfish and sand dollars as wedding favors. It was very nice. They glued magnets on the back of them.

You guys are the best! Thank you so much for the help. I'm so relieved to hear that it won't be a problem.

To answer Leigh's question, I am thinking of ordering the dried starfish online (www.seashellcity.com). The prices seem to be pretty good and they have exactly what I am looking for.

Again, many thanks!

Thanks for the great website. I would also like to incorporate starfish into our reception. Does anyone have any cutes ideas for place cards, centerpieces, etc. that use starfish? We have a small starfish on our invitations and would like to continue the theme.
