Help! I hate my dress...

Recommended Posts

I got my dress 2 weeks ago and brought it for the alterations. I wasn't impressed with the way it looked but it was 2 sizes too big. I went yesterday for my second fitting and even if now the fit is good, I think it looks aweful.

What should I do? I am getting married in less than 4 months...Should I wait next week for my last fitting or I should go shop right now so I have enough time to get another dresshuh.gif

Will I be able to get a dress in less than 3 months? Budget wise it is not the best solution but do I stick with a dress I don't love? It is my day after all...

HELP!!!

From the tone of what you wrote I don't think you are going to like it anymore when you go for your third fitting. My thoughts are if you have the money in you budget try to get a new dress (I got one from David's bridal and walked away with it the day i paid for it) and you can sell your first one.

If your dress is really important to you then you have to get one you feel glamorous in!

I agree if you are unhappy now and it is almost done you will probably not change your mind. If you really do not like it I think you should get another dress bc it is important you feel great on your wedding day. Yes post picts so we can see maybe it just needs small something.

I don;t know what your style is, but I have a wedding dress in perfect condition. It has been in the sealed box since I wore it. It is Maggie Sotterro (spelling?) I can send you a picture if you send me your email. I am not sure what size you are...it was originally an 8, but it was taken in a little at the top. So, I would assume it is a 6. I wore heels. I am 5 2, but I wore a 2 1/2 inch heel. It is beautiful. I would sell it for a very decent price. It was originally $1100. Let me know if you want to see it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
