We met in college but my FI graduated two years before me and had to take a job far away. We dated over those two years visiting eachother as often as possible. After I graduated I moved to be with him and we lived together for about a year. Our anniversary was coming up and we decided to go back to our alma matter for a long weekend. I wasn't too sure if he was going to propose but I knew the timing was about right. On the afternoon of our dating anniversary, we took a stroll by the campus lake. When we approached a gazebo, he told me how much he loved me and pulled out a ring. The ring was so perfect I was so excited and of course burst into tears and said YES. We then went out to dinner at my favorite restarant and then afterward I called eveyone I knew to tell them. It was a great weekend and a wonderful engagement memory.
