Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of them for my TTD dress... they have one that looks so much like mine but it's only 100$... I understand these are copies so... anybody tried them before ? How's the service ? What did the dress look like ?

Ayita- I found this peridress.com • View topic - Order 1708 - tracking progress I found some other sites saying that they are not good quality and stuff. One girl said that she loved her dress, but she wouldn't post a pic of it. Hmm...that would make me nervous....they are cheap though. I would probably just get a David's Bridal dress to be safe. JMO! Good luck!

I've dealt with Peridress and advise anyone considering to buy from Peridress not to have high expectations. In December 2008, I ordered 3 bridesmaid dresses (Style 1349). I had specific instructions which were simple and clear. 2 dresses were ordered in the color Mocha and 1 dress in the color Polimino. I requested that the sash color for the 2 mocha dresses be in the Polimino color and the Polimino dress to come with a Mocha color sash. This was put in writing and also confirmed online with Peridress with the Consultant who's name is Chris. I received the dresses a few weeks later which was great. At first glance the dresses looked amazing until I realised that the Mocha dresses did not come with the Polimino sash color, they were Mocha also. The girls then tried their dresses on only to discover that the clips have been sewn in the wrong way. There is a built in bra within the dress which clips in behind your bust. The clip did not clip in due to being sewn in the wrong way. The only way you can clip them in is by twisting the band.

I wrote an email to Peridress advising them of the bust clips as well as the incorrect sash colors. I received no response. I then got on line and waited until they were on Live Chat. Chris the consultant responded to my 'Hello' right away advising me that the dresses have been shipped out. I responded with my concerns and that's where all communication ended. She no longer responded. I stayed on line for over 20 minutes and could clearly see they were still on line. After a few minutes the same message "A consultant will be with you shortly" kept appearing on the screen. Frustrated I expressed my feelings on how disappointed I was and demanded someone reply to which I finally got a response saying "I'm sorry about this matter". That was it. They did not offer to replace the sash's nor did they offer to repair the clips, they simply didn't respond at all. After receiving no response via email nor on Live Chat, I decided to call them on the contact number provided on their web site and you guessed it nothing. It was the wrong number.

Peridress are dodgy and unprofessional, unless you are willing to take the risk that your dress will not arrive as you would hope then don't go there. Spend the extra dollars for your own peace of mind.

Wow - what crappy service. I would be pissed, too!

I guess this is one of those cases where it is buyer beware. Not that I'm endorsing Bridalonlinestore or anything, but they do have a case study about dresses from China that is quite an eye-opener. Yes, many clothes are made overseas, but there's a HUGE difference between an everyday t-shirt, and a dress you're going to wear on a very special day.

Guess I'll have to keep saving!

Anyone else have experience with Peridress? I read a bunch of reviews online (terrible and wonderful) and I'm considering trying them out... my wedding is over a year away so I don't mind if they take a long time, but are the materials ok? cheap? itchyhuh.gif

Here's a picture of the "maggie sottero" (knockoff) i have in mind, for this hour, hehe

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
