Online Retailers I Loved! (W/Pics)

Hi ladies,

I know of a lot of us order stuff from online retailers, so I wanted to post what online retailers I had great experiences with (in case anyone else is considering ordering from them, or is looking for these items!).

Hopefully this will be helpful to future brides... :-)

Oh, and I should point out that while I am in Canada, I pretty much had everything shipped to my MIL’s in the States. (That’s not to say they don’t deliver to Canada, I just don’t have the details on cost, etc…)

1. Chair Bows

wedding linens direct home page

These were EXTREMELY reasonably priced and good quality! I got 30 chair bows for $30, including shipping. I ordered the organza sashes, which at the time were on sale for 10 for $7.90. Not sure if they’re on sale any more, but keep checking back as I think they have sales often. They have matching table runners, overlays etc.

They were shipped the same day I ordered them!

Here’s a picture of them at our ceremony:

2.Designs By Tami – memory frames

Etsy :: DesignsbyTami :: Designer knitting tools, custom photo jewelry & more!

We were looking for a way to have my DH’s sister, who passed away several years ago, be part of our celebration, but in a way that wouldn’t make people sad. These memory frames were perfect. You just send her a picture and a few words you’d like written on the back. She sends you a proof before she actually makes it. We ordered three. She had them done and shipped off quickly.

$10 per memory frame.

3. Pashminas

(click on “scarves” on the home page)

I ordered 16 pashminas from this site (colour P26) for $3.95 USD/each. It says on their website you “should” have 24 items for the order to be considered “wholesale”. However, I e-mailed the site and they told me anything from 12-24 (or more) is considered wholesale.

They are good quality…the colour looked the same as it did on their website and everybody seriously LOVED them! Our female guests wore them their whole trip.

4. Guestbook

Welcome to the Guestbook Store! Guestbooks for Every Occasion!

Our guests had a lot of fun with this! And now we also have a great, unique guestbook to remember our day. You can also order extra pages with the heading “Our Invitation”…and blank ones. We put our invitation, our menu cards and placecards into ours as a keepsake.

I can’t remember how much I paid…but it wasn’t much! I think for 20 pages plus the hard-cover book it was only about $24.

5. Ribbon Wands

Wedding Wands, Wedding Wand, Wholesale Wedding Wand, Wedding Favor, Wedding Novelties, Wedding Novelty.

Iâ€m sorry I donâ€t have pictures of these, as they were really a lot of fun! Instead of bubbles or rose petals, we had our guests wave these as we walked back down the aisle. (Iâ€m sure Iâ€ll have a pic of how they looked when we get our pro pics…but we donâ€t have those yet :-))

They were VERY inexpensive -- $12 for 24 wands (plus shipping) and you get to choose your colours for the ribbons (I think there are six ribbons per wand, so you can choose what colours you want for each ribbon.)

After the ceremony, our guests had fund with these at the reception :-)

6. Floppyjos custom flip-flips

Bridal Flip Flops and Barefoot Sandals by FloppyJos

I ordered the flat white flip flops with pearls and turquoise swarovski crystals.

I LOVE these! Unfortunately, I never got to wear them because my dress ended up being hemmed longer, so I needed to wear something with more of a heel. But I would recommend ordering from here in a second. The woman who makes them was very easy to deal with and got them done & shipped off quickly.

I think with shipping (to the States) they were around $40.

(*BTW -- if anyone out there has small feet and is looking for flip-flops, Iâ€m selling mine! Size 5. Never worn. I was thinking $15-$20, plus the cost of shipping. PM me if youâ€re interested…)

7. Candles

Candles- Largest Selection of Scented and Unscented Candles

If anyone is looking for a particular colour of candle that they canâ€t find in a store – chances are youâ€ll find it here. I really wanted turquoise pillar candles for our centerpieces, but couldnâ€t find the right colour anywhere! (Probably b/c I was looking in the Fall, so stores seemed to only have “autumn-themed†colours for sale :-))

Anyway, they were reasonably priced (three pillar candles for $15) and were a beautiful colour. They shipped quickly too.

The site also has lost of other nice things too, like candle holders etc…

That's it! Any questions -- just ask :-)

the best 2 online companies i used for wedding purchases were

~moonglow candles for my sand ceremony sand, recommended by Mod Carly. the colors were a dead on match to the swatches online, and when i got the sand and one of the 4 colors was wrong, i called and left a message, and about 30 minutes later i got a return call saying that the correct color had just been shipped before the return call, free of charge, and to keep the wrong one--dont worry about returning it. thats fantastic customer service, and the sand was beautiful and still looks great in the vase we poured it into. thanks again carly, for your review on moonglow!

~customized girl for our bride and groom hoodies, a little expensive for a simple black hooded sweatshirt with wording on the front and back, but i had a coupon code so that helped.

i had ordered the bride one with pink glitter font, and the groom one with plain grey font. when the order arrived BOTH hoodies had the same grey font. i hopped online and used their chat service and they had me email a pic of the incorrect hoodie, and reprinted a new hoodie with the correct color. they told me to keep the wrong one as well, seeing as how they cant resell a personalized product! so actually, for me, i got 3 sweatshirts for the price of 2, now that was a bargain! oh they also shipped the new correct one free of charge.

~cards and pockets for our pocketfold invites. a mom and daughter company, beautiful product and straightforward website, i saved so much money by doing the invites myself compared to ordering a similar style premade, and it was so fun too! fast shipping, and the product was packed really well.
