hi everyone, here's my story:
Me and Matt have been together since I was 14 and he was 16, and we are definately best friends. As soon as we got our first place, all I kept talking about was getting a kitten, but he wouldn't let me, he said he didn't like cats. So I gave up. Then one day I got home a little early from work and he was at the door to meet me, suprised I was home early. He told me to sit on the couch and pour us some wine, he had a suprise for me. I was excited, expecting a new movie or something, he went upstairs and came back down with a little kitten with a red ribbon around her neck and on the ribbon was my ring!!! It was great. I love him soooo much. We have been together for 11 years and have been engaged for almost 2 years. We've talked about a traditional wedding, but he said we have been together so long and have been through so much that we should do something different and extra special. I agreed and now we are going to get married in the dominican republic!!

What a sweet story. It made me get weepy. I love hearing about other couples that have been together such a long time. I met my fiance when I was 13. It seems like so long ago. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Aww that's such a great story. I love cats... I'm pretty sure I would have noticed the kitten before the ring though. I probably would have been holding the kitten for hours and hours and then said stupid like "Oh... there is a ring on his collar"!!! Thats areally nice story though, congrats!!

Cute story, it reminds me of how my sister got engaged except she got a puppy, and was playing with them for 20 minutes before he noticed her ring..
