karma: 2 | El Dorado Royale "Free Wedding"?
Since the "free wedding package" is included if we stay in a casita at EDR for 7 nights, does anyone know what that includes? It seems like even if you get the free wedding package, you still have to pay for a lot of extras. We're just wondering if it makes any sense to stay for 7 nights, as opposed to just 5, depending on what's included in the free wedding package.

Hi Jennifer,
when they say free wedding sit is usually judge, paperwork, minimal decorations...just the minimum to get you married...you do have to pay for photographer, extra flowers, dj, private events, etc.
here is what the free wedding includes: Quote: - Filing of all documents
- Justice of the Peace or non-denominational Minister
- Professional services of an onsite wedding coordinator
- Decoration of wedding location including red carpet, chairs for 12 people and table with white linen
- Romantically decorated Jacuzzi on wedding night
- Breakfast in bed on first honeymoon day
- Dinner reservations for entire wedding party in El Cocotal International Restaurant (maximum 40 people)
- Plus amenities of the Free Honeymoon and Wedding Anniversary Package
The Free Sweet Wedding Package is valid when booking a Casita Suite for a minimum of 7 nights or more plus 5 rooms (any category for 3 nights or more). Valid in Canada, USA and reservations booked at published rates.
Must be reserved 30 days in advance.
Package inclusions may vary without previous notice. | |

Yeah, the 'free' wedding package is very minimal. Doesn't even include bouquets or bouts. Pretty much everything you have to pay for.

After looking into it, it was cheaper for us to book the wedding package separately. We are just staying in an oceanfront suite and doing the silver wedding package since we plan on getting married before we leave to avoid all the legalities of the legal ceremony.
