Keratosis Pilaris?

Ok Ladies, so this is the red bumps that look like chicken skin. I have them on my upper arms. I have seen a dermatologist when I was younger and they gave me a really thick, Rx cream to put on at night but if you forgot for one day they came right back. Hence I stopped that. Well with a sleeveless gown I want my arms bump free so has anyone used DermaDoctor KP? I want to try it but before I dish out $36 i would like some reviews. Anyone else suffer from this?

I have this!!!!

And YES the KP DermaDoctor is AWESOME. Buy the 2 pack because you will save money. It's expensive but totally worth it. Be careful though - the creme can discolor clothing and sheets. I usually wear a long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve white cotton shirt when I put the creme on.

The other thing I find gets rid of my bumps is chlorinated water - so if you can get in a pool, try that too.

Let me know if you have more Q's about the creme though! I love it and used it religiously leading up to my wedding.

at night only - once a day application, and a little goes a long way. if you put too much on, you are just wasting it and it will get sort of cakey & flake off rubbing against your clothing. just a thin application is sufficient.

Yessss I have this too and funny thing that works for me is tanning.. maybe its the cream or whatever but it works. It's crazy i know! The pool thing also works for me too. One cleanser I have tired that has worked is the St Ives Peach Scrub... it def tones them down, no more feeling the dry flaky bumps.. they are smoother, softer, and almost unnoticable.

for me, the st. ives peach scrub is not enough - i do need to use it to exfoliate in the shower in the morning, but if i do only that, my skin just seems to get red & sort of irritated. i find that the combo of the creme plus exfoliating is what works best for me.

i have KP pretty bad and am notorious for picking at it because it irritates me sad.gif when my DH catches me picking, he makes me stop and tells me to go put my lotion on!

It's cheap and seems to work 3/4 of the time for them... but right now with the new england weather change ... my arms and even my legs are suffering... So olive oil in a bath has been a big help to me ... I used the Derma. and it really worked but it was alot of work .. and the thickness of it all... grossed me out a bit.. so I try lots of natural/homeo ways of hydrating the skin and exfoliating... Olive Oil I just found out about... just watch out... you turn into one Slippery Sucker before you rinse off in the shower afterwards.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
