Ladies,

Tania, our new WC [we have had three now from Barcelo so hopefully the third time is the charm] sent us the 2009 wedding packages because Tender Moon no longer exists.

We don't know which one we plan on going with- but we are leaning towards the Ocean Scents. We don't want to spend a lot of money, just because my fiance went crazy and bought all new appliances for our house and I have two years of unversity to pay for. However, after examining all of the packages in detail, we are pretty certain that we will go with Ocean Scents, just because you get VIP status with that package.

Does anyone have any information on the spa prices at the resort? I wanted to get pedicures and manicure for my bridal party, but I was wondering on the prices. If you have any information I would appreciate it! Thanks!

And don't forget, the bride's pedicure/manicure is included, and it was the BEST mani/pedi i've ever had and took 2 hours!! :) And I got the chocolate scrub on my feet and hands.

Hi there. I am so glad I've found this thread. We are getting married on April 27th at the Barcelo Maya Palace. We just sent out our save the dates last week and already have 15 people booked. Can't wait!

Couple questions if anyone has the answers or advice that would be GREAT!

-Dress and Suit steaming, I assume they offer it, did anyone have any issues?
-Cocktail Hour, we are doing the Ocean Scents package but are also looking at a cocktail hour, I've got the wedding packages but don't have info on this. Any ideas on how much this will cost us.
- Photography, my wedding coordinator Claudia e-mailed me last week with the info that they have new photographers now. She sent me a contact sheet with examples. I was impressed compared to what I was expecting, has anyone used them yet. I am trying to decide if we want to bring someone with us or not!
- Dance floor - If you have had your reception on the beach, did you rent the dance floor? I like the idea of sand in the toes, but not sure if that will work with dancing.

I appreciate any advice or thoughts!

Hi! Sorry for just getting back to you now. I don't have a lot of information b/c I haven't been married yet, but I just asked Claudia about a cocktail hour also and she said it was $9/person. Not sure what that all includes, but that's how much it costs.
