Thanks for sharing your list, there is a thread somewhere around here that has lists from some people that have gotten married, I'm sorry I can't remember what it was called.
FI and I started working on ours the other night by taking the others posted here and deleting ones we might not want, but we didn't get very far!

This is great, i really want to use our Ipods too, and this advice is perfect.
What are people going for for the first song?
Also, for the ipod size, a nano could be fine, but I'd check how many gigs it is, that will affect how many songs you have...
If you are just going to play the list, 1 gig (1000 songs) could be fine, but if you want to have enough music to accept requests, you'll probably need more...
Some of the newer nanos have much more than 1 gig anyway...

Ok, I think Im going to stick with the Nano-although its malfunctioning right now so I may have to get soemthing else anyway!! Ill have someone else back it up on theirs as well. Just in case..
The Ipod decison was a tough one but we are having sooo much fun with the playlist, Ill try to post it.
We are only having 40 people at most so I didnt think we needed a DJ, PA system etc. And we really like being able to hear everything we love and everything we know our guests love. We actually decided to use it for the ceremony as well and we'll just get a really good speaker for it and I think we'll be fine. My brothers are going to monitor the Ipod although they dont know it yet! I recommend getting a "family DJ" so you dont have to worry about it-yes, theyll be tipsy, but all they have to do is hit a button!! | |

Also, and this may be a dumb question, but we only have a Nano, do you think we should get the larger ipod for the wedding? | Hi Beth- I am sure the Nano will be good, it does hold 2,000 songs. We have two of the Ipods and honestly I dont think I will ever fill it up! It looks like the Im7 and Im9 are made for Ipod brand.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
My FI just gave me a video iPod for my birthday!
I told him we can use it to play music for our wedding reception!
I am so excited and I am finally out of the dark ages :)
