And as soon as I did, I suddenly got really nervous... I keep feeling like something will go wrong, or like a better coordinator will become available and I will wish I had waited... or no one will come.... ARGGGGHH! 
Is this normal?!

I think it is pretty normal! I got really nervous when I was putting our deposit down on our photographer, so I waited a week, talked it over, then did it. I feel better now that it is done, but it is normal to second guess and be worried. But, just reassure yourself the reasons that you chose to make this decision in the first place.

Everytime I make a deposit on something, I feel the same way...Like something else better will come along or I made the wrong decision.
I guess we just need to stop worrying, I'm sure everything will work out fine.

Oh my god everything has gone wrong for me so i totally know how you feel. I think sometimes my fear to commit and give my $$$ over might had to do with some of the problems I was so nervous no one would book and I would be screwed that it was hard to give over my cash
