Hi girls-

I'm new to the forum and was just wondering if anyone has gotten married (or is planning a wedding) at the One&Only Palmilla. I'm visiting for the first time next week and I'd love to chat with people who have worked with the staff there before. Any advice or stories (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated!

Best,

Rose

Hi Rosemary - Welcome to the forum and congrats!

If you go to the Cabo Forum Cabo Forum and go to "search this forum" right under where is says all the pages that are in that forum (right side about 1/4 way down the page) and type in Palmilla you will a lot of threads with info.

Great choice - i have been there (not for a wedding though) - it is one of the nicest placest ever - are you thinking the chapel?

i also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Moroccan bar by the ocean - that would be an amazing place for a welcome party!!!

Alyssa-

Thanks for the help! I'm not sure where we are going to hold the ceremony yet, which is why I'm headed there next week. All of the pictures I've seen are too good to be true and exactly what we've spent the last year looking for. The lighting in the bar is spectacular- I'm so excited to see everything for myself!

Again, thanks for the help.

Hello Rose,

Welcome to the forum!!!!!

It is nice to see a One&Only Palmilla Bride here :)

You have chosen one of the best hotels in the world for your wedding! The reason I tell you this is because I happen to be the official Minister for the One&Only Palmilla.

So if you are having your wedding with a Minister, more than likely you and I will be talking:) Who will be your host at Palmilla? Erika or Martha? You are going to have a blast!!!!

Give my best to your fiancee and if there is anything I can do for you, feel free to ask.

great spot...i also looked into getting married there but only habout 1/2 our guests could afford to stay there so we had to choose a new location..

my best friend also had her wedding scheduled there but had to cancel 3 months before when FFIL had a heart attack....they ended up having a local wedding.

but with all the inquiry i did and my gf did, they were always very prompt getting back to me. i suspect the level of care and service will be pretty consistent as they are known for having some of the highest levels of service in the industry.

i originally wanted to get married at the chapel at palmilla and was crushed to find out that all your guests have to stay there - we knew half our guests would never be able to afford it (and neither could we really) so we ended up picking the westin, which is just down the street, because we wanted a non-AI hotel.

best of luck to you - the palmilla is such a beautiful location!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
