Jewelry...is this ok??

Recommended Posts

I ended up with a palm tree theme (unknowingly!! - it just sort of happened that way!). So I have my toasting flutes & cake topper. I have palm tree labels for my sandalwood fan boxes & my invitations are palm tree. (see this forum for the links for some of these items... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t28253-2)

Anyway...to the point (lol)

I am looking into getting palm tree jewellery...like what Kate Hudson wore on Fool's Gold (if anyone took their eyes off Matthew Mcconaughey for 2 secs!!) Here is the cheap-o version of it!! Lina's CZ California Palm Tree Necklace I'm thinking about going with the palm dangle earrings too What do you think it will look like with my dress?? Style 8439

Please be completely honest...I really appreciate honesty!!!

I hate making decisions!!

Thanks!!

Amanda

The necklace you would have to watch the legnth to make sure it didn't dip too far down into the V of the dress or else you won't be able to see it.
Yes...you're right...I don't want it to get lost in the "mountains"!!! lol
I was thinking 16" (just around the collar bone) or maybe a little lower at 18"!

Yeah...I think you're right about both too!! Gee you're smart!! See...all I needed was someone to tell me what to do!!
I think I'm going to get my MOH the same pendant...what do you think??

I'd have to agree with sunset....one or the other. It's sounds like a good idea to "coordinate", but the look of matching earrings and necklace is a little avon-esque.

Maybe you can give your MOH a bracelet with the palm tree charm. That's what I'm doing. My bridesmaids picked different cuts from the Alfred Angelo jersey knit line. My MOH chose the the strappy halter that covers where a necklace would fall.

Congratulations and good luck!

What is your MOH wearing?
And, thats up to you.... My opinion, I love the idea of my MOH and BM's keeping in theme with me jewelry wise but not having the same exact thing as I do. If you do the necklace, maybe buy MOH the earrings or vice versa.
And I also like SDNative's idea of the bracelet!

I am sure whatever you do it will look amazing!!!

LMFAO...avon-esque!!! I can totally see that now!! Thanks!

My MOH is wearing a strapless dress so she will need a necklace (which I am providing). This pendant does come in a slightly smaller size so maybe I'll get her that one. (I'm having a really hard time finding something I like for her...so I'm looking for the easy way out!!) lol

I love the necklace! I think it will be super cute. I also agree maybe some pretty earrings but not palm tree! I was going to wear earings but the day of the wedding my DH bought me a necklace that was sooo perfect. But I didn't have earrings that matched! lol Good luck and I can't wait to see it all together

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
